ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador and Peru at elevations around 600 to 1500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with horizontal to pendant ramicauls enveloped by 2 to 3 close, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, spreading to pendant, thickly coriaceous, semi-terete, linear-elliptical, acute, narrowly cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the winter on a very short, succession of single flowers arising from a prone spathe and has tubular floral bracts.
