ORIGIN: Found in Peru and Bolivia as a small sized, caespitose epiphyte in cloud, wet montane, evergreen and piedmont forests at elevations of 600 to 2400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Peru and Bolivia as a small sized, caespitose epiphyte in cloud, wet montane, evergreen and piedmont forests at elevations of 600 to 2400 meters as a warm to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths as well as one below the middle carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical-oblong, acute or subacute, petiolate leaf that is cuneate into the petiole that blooms on an erect to arcuate, 7 long, loose, distichous, simultaneously opening several flowered inflorescence that holds the flowers well above the leaves.
