ORIGIN: Found from Chiapas, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala on the gulf slope in wet montane rainforests and elfin forests at elevations of 800 to 1350 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, with 2 internodes, dilated and slightly compressed towards the apex ramicaule enveloped basally by tubular, funnel-shaped sheath and carrying a single, apical, arcuate to pendant, sessile, oblong-elliptic to lanceolate, acuminate apically, gradually narrows below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a fascile of simultaneous, 5 to 10 flowered inflorescence holding the distichous flowers close to the apex of the ramicaul.
