Dendrobium jacobsonii is an orchid species identified by J.J.Sm. in 1918.
ORIGIN: Endemic to eastern Java as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte found at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters in high mountain mist forests on small exposed trees.
DESCRIPTION: Endemic to eastern Java as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte found at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters in high mountain mistforests on small exposed trees with clustered pseudobulbs that often keiki on the sides carrying many leaves arranged on 2 sides of the stem with the lowest being quickly deciduous and the apical ones persistent that blooms in the spring on a short inflorescence with 1 or rarely 2, hanging flowers occurring all along both leafed and leafless canes.
