ORIGIN: Found in Panama in mossy cloud forests at elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with purple, slender, pendent ramicauls enveloped by a thin, tubular, slightly inflated sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, pendent, narrowly elliptical, acute, narrowly cuneate into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a pendent, [1 to 2 cm] long, simultaneously few flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf with infundibular floral bracts.
