ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica and western Panama as a medium sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte that has a epidendrum vegatative look and is found at elevations of 800 to 2400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: A medium sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte that has a epidendrum vegatative look and is found at elevations of 800 to 2400 meters with an erect, sometimes branching stem carrying many, densely distichous, elliptic to lanceolate, coriaceous, unequally bilobulate apically, basally clasping leaf that blooms at any time of the year on a .4 to 1 [1 to 2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence mostly concealed by subulate floral bracts.
