ORIGIN: Found in Bahia and Espirito Santo states of Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 300 to 400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with elliptic-ellongate, laterally compressed, laterally grooved pseudobulbs enveloped basally by leafless sheaths and carrying a single, apical, linear-lanceolate, conduplicate, acute, gradually narrows below into the conduplicate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, slender, racemose, 4.8 to 5.2 [12 to 13 cm] long, successively 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence.
