ORIGIN: Found in southern Ecuador and Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 2600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with oblong, somewhat flattened, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, apical, erect, oblong-lanceolate, acute, conduplicate basally leaves that blooms in the late fall and winter on a terminal, shorter than the leaf to 2 [5 cm] long, 9 to 12 flowered inflorescence arising through a conduplicate spathe with 1 to 2 short bracts and small floral bracts.
