ORIGIN: Found in Papua New Guinea in evergreen broad-leaved forests at elevations around 800 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a very short rhizome giving rise to ovoid, obscurely angled in cross-section pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, deciduus, plicate, jointed, erect spreading to suberect, lanceolate-elliptic to elliptic, acuminate, glabrous, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, slender, terete, peduncle to 20 [50 cm] long, covered in long hairs,few acuminate bracted, rachis to 16 [20 cm] long, 28 [70 cm] long overall, laxly 7 to 15 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, outside pubescent, inside glabrous floral bracts.
