DESCRIPTION: A small to medium sized, warm to cool growing, monopodial epiphyte and occasional terrestrial [likely from fallen plants off trees] that likes shade on tree trunks and branches in tropical rainforests near riverways at elevations of 900 to 2100 meters with a woody, pendant stem with distichous, narrowly oblanceolate, very unequal and acutely bilobed apically with the shorter lobe often almost nonexistent, fleshy, olive green leaves from which arises in the late summer and fall on several, pendant, 10 [25 cm] long, densely many [50] flowered inflorescence with 2, 4 or 6, fragrant, green flowers that yellow with age arranged in many whorls up and down the inflorescence.
