ORIGIN: Found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia in montane cloud forests at elevations around 200 to 1700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with small [when present] flattenned, pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several sheaths with the uppermost being leaf-bearing carrying a single, apical, thin, obovate, acuminate, plicate leaf that narrows basally to become subpetiolate and blooms in the winter and spring on an erect, axillary, single flowered, 2 [5 cm] long inflorescence.
