ORIGIN: Found in the eastern Himalayas, Assam and Vietnam at elevations of 850 to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with cylindric, bulging below the center, tapering at each end, to 3/4 [1.7 cm] apart pseudobulbs carrying 2, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, 3 to 5 veined, plicate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a proteranthous to synanthous, pendent, straight to curved, wiry, 5.2 to 10 [13 to 25 cm] long, 30 to 60 flowered inflorescence with ovate to elliptic, acute, inrolled, reflexed, papery floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers that open well.
