ORIGIN: Found in Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico in cloud forests at elevations around 1500 to 2900 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, cool to cold, pendant growing epiphyte or lithophyte with fusiform pseudobulbs, pilose from the internodes, branching from the 2nd basal internode and carrying a few lanceolate, pointed, basally clasping, deciduous leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, arcuate, racemose, several to many flowered inflorescence that arises on a maturing pseudobulb and carrying 7 to 24, simultaneous, nocturnaly fragrant flowers.
