ORIGIN: Found in the western Himalayas, Bangladesh, India, Assam, Nepal, eastern Himalayas, Myanmar and Thailand at elevations of 600 to 2400 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with fusiform to clavate, curved to wavy, ridged, yellowish stems carrying 2 to 6, towards the apex of the stem, elliptic-oblong to elliptic-lanceolate, acute, obliquely emarginate, veined, tapering into the clasping sheath base leaves that blooms in the summer on several, lateral, short, subcapitate, subdensely 4 to 6 flowered, glabrous, weakly zig-zag inflorescence with overlapping, broadly ovate bracts.
