Dockrillia bowmanii is an orchid species identified by (Benth.) M.A.Clem. & D.L.Jones in 1996. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Dendrobium bowmanii.
ORIGIN: Found in Queensland and New South Wales Australia as a miniature to small sized, epiphytic, hot growing species that is found in dry open areas or on the coastal plains near creeks and mangrove swamps at elevations of sea-level to 200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Found in Queensland and New South Wales Australia as a miniature to small sized, epiphytic, hot growing species that is found in dry open areas or on the coastal plains near creeks and mangrove swamps at elevations of sea-level to 200 meters. This orchid grows by having new branches emerge from the upper nodes of the previous years branch carrying a single grooved leaf and the bloom season is from late winter to spring on a short inflorescence that arises from the nodes near the new leaves at or near the apex of the cane and it needs a drier winter rest but should not be allowed to dry out completely.
