ORIGIN: Found in Tanzania, Mozambique, Natal South Africa and the Comoros Islands in coastal forests at elevations of sea-level to 500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized warm growing terrestrial with close-set narrowly conical to ovoid, dark green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, stiff, ovate to oblong-lanceolate, acute, undulate to finely crenulate margins, green, gradually narrowing below into the elongate, wiry petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on 1 to 2, erect, 12 to 18.8 [30 to 47 cm] long, simple to 1 to 2 branched, 20 to 30 flowered inflorescence enveloped by 3 to 4 bracts.
