ORIGIN: Found in India, Sri Lankha, Assam, the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Hainan & Yunnan provinces of China, Vietnam, Japan, Ruyukyu Islands, Taiwan, Java and the Philippines in wet closed forests commonly along humid rocky stream canyons at elevations of 300 to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium to giant sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with ascending, suberect stems carrying 3 to 5 basal, obliquely elliptic, ovate-elliptic or lanceolate-elliptic, acuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring on a cylindric, subdensely to laxly many flowered, erect, glabrous below puberulent above inflorescence.
