ORIGIN: This is a medium sized, hot to cool, pendant growing plant from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama as well as Colombia and is found on trees in damp mixed forests at an elevation of 1400-1900 meters.
DESCRIPTION: This is a medium sized, hot to cool, pendant growing plant from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama as well as Colombia and is found on trees in damp mixed forests at an elevation of 1400-1900 meters with an erect, terete stem enveloped basally by several tubular sheaths and above larger lanceolate, bilobed apically, basally clasping leaves, spotted leaf sheaths and blooms on a terminal, pendulous, racemsose, several flowered inflorescence which is half covered by the upper leaves occurring throughout the year. Otherwise it is very similar to I linearis.
FLOWER SIZE: To almost 1/2 inch [to almost 1.25 cm]
