ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador at elevations around 2200.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with a pendant rhizome carrying distichous, short ramicauls enveloped basally by a single infundibular, ciliated sheath and carrying a single, apical, pendant, distichous, thickly coriaceous, glabrous, elliptical-suborbicular, basally broadly cuneate to rounded, contracted into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, loose, successively 2 to 3 flowered racemose, [7mm] long, ascending inflorescence.
