ORIGIN: This is a mini-miniature sized, warmth loving, epiphytic Masdevallia that also likes a humid environment and is found at altitudes below 1000 meters in Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica.

DESCRIPTION: This is a mini-miniature sized, warmth loving, epiphytic Masdevallia that also likes a humid environment and is found at altitudes below 1000 meters in Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3, close, tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical to obovate, obtuse to rounded apically leaf that gradually narrows into an indistinct petiolate base and blooms in the winter and spring on a suberect to erect, slender, 1 3/5 to 2 2/5 [4 to 6 cm] long inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a tubular bract above the middle, a tubular floral bract and a successively single, showy, sweetly fragrant flower held below leaf height.
