ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador at elevations over 2000 meters in cloud forests.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 imbricating sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, petiolate, elliptical, subacute leaf that is narrowly cuneate into the petiole that blooms in the summer on an erect then arching, simultaneously several flowered, 4 3/4 to 6 3/4 [12 to 17 cm] long, slender inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with bracts below the middle and at the base and a thin, oblique floral bract.
