ORIGIN: Found from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Venezuela in rain and cloud forests as a variable sized epiphyte that occurs at elevations of 200 to 2100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Venezuela in rain and cloud forests as a variable sized epiphyte that occurs at elevations of 200 to 2100 meters with an ovoid-ellipsoid, smooth pseudobulb subtended by several scarious sheaths and has a single, apical, oblanceolate, curved leaf that is condulicate towards the base which blooms in the spring on a basal, from the imbricating basal sheaths, 5 [12.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with several sacrious, tubular bracts.
