ORIGIN: Found from Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial in wet montane forests at elevations of 1100 to 3000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found from Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela as a small to medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte or terrestrial in wet montane forests at elevations of 1100 to 3000 meters with pendant, terete, cane-like stems that branch towards the base which are covered with foliaceous sheaths giving rise to distichous, linear leaves that are acute at the apex which blooms in the summer, fall and winter on a axillary, 5/8 [1 1/2 cm] long single flowered inflorescence arising on a mature stem.
