ORIGIN: Found from Guatemala south to Costa Rica at elevations of 1475 to 2700 meters on the Pacific side in premontane and lower montane cloud forests on tree trunks.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte and occasional lithophyte with elliptic-ovoid, sulcate, ancipitous pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 or more, soon deciduous, imbricating, lower most leafless, upper most leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 2, apical, coriaceous, flexuous, linear to narrowly oblanceolate, acute, conduplicate towards the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a lateral, racemose, 10 to 12 [25 to 30 cm] long inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb carrying small, non-resupinate, fragrant flowers.
