ORIGIN: Found in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines at low to high elevations on damp banks and sut hill slopes and on hillside grasslands.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with 2, fusiform, white, hairy tubers giving rise to an erect stem with 1 to 2, sheathing bracts a the base and carrying 2 to 3, basal, sessile, ovate to oblong-elliptic, acute, amplexicaul basally, wavy margined leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 2.4 to 8.8 [6 to 22 cm] long, loosely spaced, 12 to 15 flowered inflorescence with 3 to 5, lowest foliaceous, those above lanceolate-cymbiform, acute sterile bracts and carrying spirally arranged, creamy white flowers.
