ORIGIN: Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, southern China and Vietnam in primary montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a stout, creeping rhizome with 1.8 [4.5 cm] between each, cylindric, erect to curved, weakly rugose, narrow, tapering towards the apex pseudobulbs enveloped basally byfibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, oblong, subacute, coriaceous, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a basal, pendant, .4 [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
