DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with almost opposite, oblong-lanceolate, broadly elliptic or obovate leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, terminal, 3/4 to 2' long, simply racemose, laxly many flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers and is similar to P. bifolia except for the lax inflorescence and the flowers are less scented.
