ORIGIN: Found in Colombia.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized [one of the largest of the genus], cold growing epiphyte with elongated, stout, erect stems carrying a single, apical spreading, thick, broadly ovoid leaf that blooms in the spring and summer and on an inflorescence that arises from the base of the leaf and is short and has a single successive flower that is held close to the leaf arising on both old and new leaves.
