ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations of 1650 to 1700 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 short sheaths and a longer one below the middle and carrying a acutely deflexed, coriaceous, narrowly cordate-ovate, acuminate and curved up above the middle, basally sessile and cordate leaf that blooms in the spring on a fascile of successive single flowered inflorescence arising through a suberect to reclining spathe and holding the flower against the leaf base.
