ORIGIN: Found in New Guinea in humus of montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a short rhizome giving rise to terete, strict stems carrying 5 or so, 5 nerved, elliptic, acuminate, cuneate below into the short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the early summer on a strict to substrict, terete, subglabrous below to pubescent above, to 20 [50 cm] long overall, few bracted, rachis to 4 [10 cm] long, subdensely several flowered inflorescence with densely pubescent, lanceolate, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
