Poaephyllum hansenii is an orchid species identified by J.J.Wood in 1984. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Agrostophyllum laterale.
ORIGIN: Found in Borneo in steep river banks in lowland alluvial forests and riparian forests at elevations around 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, war mt ocol growing epiphyte with slender, wiry leafy stems carrying 2 to 7, linear-ligulate, equally to unequally obtusely bilobed apically with a mid seta in the apical sinus that blooms in the summer, fall and winter on a lateral and terminal, peduncle to .08 to .16 [2 to 4 mm] long, enveloped by 2 to 3 dark brown, ovate, acute, prominently veined imbricate bracts, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying whitish to pale yellowish brown flowers with a yellowish flushed purple column.
