ORIGIN: Found in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Togo, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Gabon, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Zaire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe in lowland evergreen and riverine forests at elevations of 200 to 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot to cool growing, high level epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with narrowly conical to cylindrical, curved, close set pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, fleshy, narrowly strap-shaped, conduplicate, unequally and obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, to 16 [40 cm] long, shortly branched, many flowered inflorescence enveloped basally by papery sheaths and carrying rather fleshy, sparsely pubescent flowers.
