ORIGIN: Found in southeastern Brazil and to Missiones Argentina.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial orchid with 3 to 8, thin, lustrous, gradually narrowing below into the canaliculate, pseudopetiolate base leaves that are almost withered as it blooms in the later spring and early summer on a terminal, a dense, club-shaped, to 32 [80 cm] long, 17 to 35 flowered inflorescence with the flowers covered by white hairs and 8 to 12 brown sheaths.
