ORIGIN: Found in southwestern Ecuador in extremely wet montane forests as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: A miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte at elevations of 900 to 1000 meters with a short rhizome, carrying closely spaced, ovate, edges ancipitous, flattened pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several conduplicate sheaths with the uppermost being foliaceous and carrying a single apical, narrowly elliptic-oblong, acute leaf that narrows basally into the petiole and blooms on a lateral, basal, erect, to 6" [15 cm] long, shortly paniculate inflorescence with each terminal end carrying a successively single flower occurring over a long period of time and can occur at most any time of the year.
