DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial or lithophytic orchid with basal, membranaceous, elliptic to obovate, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the winged petiolate base leaves that often are not present at flowering that blooms in the late winter through summer on a spicate, racemose, to 8 [to 20 cm] long, laxly few to many flowered inflorescence with narrowly lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying violet scented flowers.
