ORIGIN: Found in eastern Texas in lightly shaded Pineywoods and Post Oak Savannah Regions.

DESCRIPTION: Small to just medium sized, cold growing terrestrial that is moderately to densely pubescent and has 2 to 3, basal or on the lower portion of the stem, linear-lanceolate, ascending to spreading, usually absent to shriveling at blooming which occurs in the earlier to mid fall on a terminal, erect, loosely spiraled, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence with 5, fragrant flowers per cycle.
