Stichorkis nutans is an orchid species identified by (Ames) Cootes in 2011. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Liparis nutans.
ORIGIN: Found in southern Philippines as an epiphyte and lithophyte in shady forests.
DESCRIPTION: Found in southern Philippines as an epiphyte and lithophyte in shady forests with year round rainfall and constant high humidity, with pear-shaped pseudobulbs enveloped by distichous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, narrowly oblong-lanceolate, acute leaf that blooms on a apical, up to 12 [30 cm] long, erect, densly many flowered inflorescence occurring in the summer or fall. Year round moisture, good light and air circulation as well as cool to warm temperatures please this species.
FLOWER SIZE: 3/8 inch [1 cm]
