ORIGIN: Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador at elevations of [700] 1900 to 3000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found from Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador at elevations of [700] 1900 to 3000 meters and is a miniature sized, cool to cold growing, caespitose, epiphyte or terrestrial that has a slender, branching ramicaul with 2 to 3 loose, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptical leaf and blooms on a subdense, subsecund, arcuate to pendant raceme arising from the apex of the ramicaul with several flowers held well above the leaf with the flowers opening simultaneously occurring in the fall and winter.
