ORIGIN: Found in Sichuan, Hubei and southeastern Gansu provinces of China in forests on slopes along valleys at elevations of 1200 to 3500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte with an erect, stout stem with basal, tubular sheaths and carrying 3 to 4, cauline, widely spaced, oblong, ellipti to elliptic-lanceolate, obtuse to acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 4 to [10 to 18 cm] long, subdensely to densely 8 to 26 flowered inflorescence with several lanceolate bracts and lanceolate, basal ones longer than the ovary, acuminate floral bracts carrying fragrant flowers.
