PLEIONES: Cultural Requirements
Provide bright light short of sun scorch; 55 to 60 deg.F. recommended for night temperatures; water freely until the fall growth slows down; the leaves fall when growth is complete; reduce watering to prevent shrivelling; then water lightly as the new spikes develop. A76-698

Place them in an appropriate mix, not more than 1/4 of their depth down in early spring, mist them lightly and infrequently; do not water them until their roots have entered the compost; water will cause the shoot to rot; keep them moist, not soggy. OR81-101

Too little water at the early stages of growth causes brown or black tipping of the shoots; too much watering causes browning at the stem near the pseudobulb which spreads rapidly and kills the plant; try a quick drying off, with a fan. OR86-239
