ORIGIN: This mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte is found from Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia in montane rain forests in deep shade on larger tree branches at altitudes of 400 to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: This mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte is found from Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Bolivia in montane rain forests in deep shade on larger tree branches at altitudes of 400 to 2000 meters with an erect, 1/5 to 1/4 [5 to 6mm] long, stem enveloped by 2 to 3 close, tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, fleshy, elliptic-ovate, obtuse leaves that gradually narrow into the sub-petiolate base blooming in the spring on a prostrate to descending, 1 1/5 to 2 3/4 [3 to 7 cm]long inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul with a bract below the middle and tubular floral bracts with successive single flowers held horizontally well below the leaves.
