HUMIDIFIERS: Make Them Yourself
Using a bucket, some aquarium tubing, an air pump, nylon sheeting, plus the indespensible water and a pan to hold it, an effective humidifier can be assembled and operated; refer to Ca81-9; micro-organisms can cause "humidifier fever". N.Y.Times, Jan.2/88 (ULTRASONIC) -- for plants = quiet, relatively cheap, efficient, uses an electronic transducer to produce mists, it seems likely to be ideal for in-house growing (houseplants, anyway) except in hard-water areas.
