Aporum setifolium is an orchid species identified by (Ridl.) Rauschert in 1983. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Dendrobium setifolium.
ORIGIN: Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations of 1300 to 1600 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, basally shortly slender, swelling to almost round medially and then thinning out again towards the very elongate apex cane carrying 4 to 8, widely spaced, slender, terete, channeled leaves that blooms on a very short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the middle to the apex of the cane and have flowers that are non-resupinate, short-lived and do not open well.
