ORIGIN: Found in Borneo in hill and lower montane forests among limestone boulders at elevations around 600 to 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Large to giant sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial or epiphyte with several leafy, noded stem carrying bifarius, oblong-ovate, long-acuminate to acute, shortly contracted below into the base, coriaceous, glossy above, dull beneath leaves that blooms in the late spring later summer and in the mid fall on a terminal, paniculate, 5 to 7 branched, each branch 1.6 to 2 [4 to 5 cm], in total length to 3.6 [9cm] long, spreading, slightly curved, to 10 flowered inflorescence with bracts subtending branches, cymbiform, clasping, concave, acute to shortly acuinate, persistent brown bracts and cymbiform, concave, semi-ovate, shortly acuminate to conical-apiculate, densely punctate, many nerved, cream to brown colored floral bracts and carrying slightly sweet scented flowers.
