ORIGIN: Found from Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador Peru and Bolivia in dense brush at elevations of 1400 to 3450 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte to lithophyte in moss, with a very short, approximate stem carrying a single, apical, erect, fleshy, oblanceolate, minutely tridentate apically leaf that is rough textured and blooms in the winter, spring and fall on an erect, terete, pale green, 6 [15 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence holding the large flower well above the leaves.
