DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a woody rhizome giving rise to slender, cylindric, tapering pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, strongly veined, elliptic to ovate-elliptic, acuminate, petiolate base leaves and blooms in the late spring and early summer on a erect, terminal, racemose to sub-corymbose, successively many flowered inflorescence basally sheathed by distant, lanceolate, acute, pilose pubescent sheaths and spreading to reflexed, ovate, lanceolate, acuminate, floral bracts.
