Orchid Species: Dendrobium nabawanense

Dendrobium nabawanense is an orchid species identified by J.J.Wood & A.L.Lamb in J.J.Wood & P.J.Cribb in 1994.
ORIGIN: Found in Kalimantan and Sabah, Borneo in lowland forests at elevations of 500 to 700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte or terrestrial in sandstone soils with erect, slender, fractiflex cane-like stems carrying several to many on the apical half, perpendicular to the stem, 2 ranked on opposite sides of the cane, linear-lanceolate, usually narrowly acute and bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on a horizontal to erect, .4 [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence arise from the base of the scale-covered sheaths opposite the leaves and carry a single non-fragrant flower.
