ORIGIN: Found in Sulawesi in mossy montane forests at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect to spreading, slightly sinuous, proximal half leafy, distal half leafless, bilaterally strongly compressed stems carrying distichous, equitant, strongly bilaterally compressed, obliquely arranged at a 45 degree angle to the stem, not overlapping, well separated for the section, leathery, green sometimes suffused with maroon, elliptic to ovate, acute, sometimes slightly attenuate leaves that blooms in the winter with one per internode, on the leafless portion of the stem, lateral, arising from a bundle of chaffy, dry, brown, bracts, successively single, few flowered inflorescence.
