ORIGIN: Found in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina at elevations of 200 to 600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, hot to cool, strong growing species that likes bright light and has ovoid-oblongate to pyriform pseudobulbs that carry [usually] 2, long, coriaceous, narrowly-lanceolate, acute leaves and blooms in the spring on a terminal, 2 to 3 shortly branched, 16 to 42 [40 to 105 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
