ORIGIN: Found in French Guiana in rain forests at elevations of 50 to 150 meters in elevation.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot growing, caepitose epiphyte with ovoid-pyriform to subspherical pseudobulbs slightly compressed laterally pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblong-lanceolate, entire margin, shortly acuminate apically leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, peduncle cylindric, 1/2 to 1/2 of the total length, with 3 to 5 sterile bracts, rachis with 1 to 2 short .6 [1.5 cm] long branches, 12 to 22.4 [30 to 56 cm] long overall, 6 to 12 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant [bitter almond] flowers.
